WHEN THE THINGS ARE EASY by THE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER IN SINTRA
Photos from a wedding with the ceremony at the Church of S. Pedro de Penaferrim and the party at Quinta dos Alfinetes in Sintra
Happy cameras and lenses
We are in a changing world. Bit by bit, habits are changing the culture and people move more and faster than ever before. Belong to a nationality started to have less importance and we, far more than another point in history, belong in fact to the world. So it is not strange anymore that a Portuguese will marry a Finnish and live in Holland. Despite the costume that the wedding must be at the bride’s place, Maria and Duarte chose to celebrate their wedding in Portugal and the beautiful Sintra.
On the other hand, I could not be happier because, once more, I did a wedding at my most friendly church, Igreja de S. Pedro de Penaferrim in São Pedro de Sintra. It is my most photographed church and gives me the most wonderful celebration photos since I am a wedding photographer. Despite being a small church, it has that I do not know what makes my cameras and lenses happy and with great need to photograph.
Great light for photos
At the end of the afternoon, my return to Quinta dos Alfinetes at Sintra did the entire joy allowing great light for photos under the arbor, abounding in the garden, with the iconic Castelos dos Mouros and Palácio da Pena at the top of the Sintra mountain as background and at the other side the Varzea until the sea.
I do not know why but, in my work, I like the things that are difficult doing them. I do not like things done easily but I must recognize that in scenarios like these, the church, and the venue, I do not need to strengthen too much because it seems that everything is just in the right place to pick up. And it was.
