The first ritual of the wedding day
It was one of these hot summer days in Alentejo. Because I was born in Alentejo, it was not so hot for me and as a wedding photographer, I am used to hot days and hard work. So the working day begins with Helder. He, also, knows that a hot day in Évora does not stop what we need to do. Following the tradition in Alentejo, Helder dressed in a black suit over a white shirt and with a black hat finished the first ritual of the wedding day, and the groom got ready. After that the motorcycle ride to the wedding venue, Convento do Espinheiro in Évora.
Ready in a moment
The first part was complete, I went to the bride, the beautiful Tânia with the two babies waiting still some time to see the light for the first time. It happened some days after and, as she told me, two beautiful boys were born. Tânia, with the parents and sister, was just like the Alentejo women are: joyful, fast, and ready in a moment. It was no need to be like that because the officiant was so late that, at the time of the ceremony, it was almost time for the meal. When we had the green light we crossed the beautiful Évora, with enchanted Moorish princess and knights tales, until Convento do Espinheiro, also very important in Portuguese history and tales.
The wedding photographer, a witness
Inside, this humble wedding photographer with photographic cameras was a witness to the fast wedding since he does wedding photography. However, because he liked the unexpected, he reacted in time and fast and memorized everything that happened in that small amount of time.
It was a beautiful day in Évora with Tânia and Helder and the twins present but not yet. This is my testimonial in photos. The wedding photographer says thank you. I hope that you like it.
