When I challenged, for fun, Antonio to photograph the engagement session on a ship of the Portuguese Navy I did not think that would happen. But António is a proud sailor of the Portuguese Navy and accepted the challenge.
So that afternoon the wedding photographer met, also, with Sofia, and, at the same time, António showed us the ship with the uniform he uses in each of the places that are part of this complex boat war, we were photographing the couple with António very proudly, at the same time, using “his” ship to the scenery of the photos with his bride and showing her his temporary home and adventure place.
Sofia, as seen in the photographs was delirious. She was with such joy and pride in her sailor. For me, it was a lesson of learning how a vessel like this is inside and taking advantage of photographing without leaving anything out.
Already with the sun in its strong orange, the exterior of the ship was fantastic scenery for the wedding photographer in this afternoon adventure.
A few days later there I was, again with them, as a wedding photographer at Porto Novo Beach to celebrate the wedding and at the Hotel Golf Mar to party. It was very good…fantastic.
