THANK YOU by THE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER IN LISBON

These are moments that wedding photographers have heard about a lot. Thank you very much, to all of you. Gestures and words are often repeated in all the weddings that I, as a wedding photographer, have already seen and photographed and, for sure, all my colleagues. It is one of the most engaging moments of the day. After most part, of the party, already gone it is the moment to offer a part of a cake to every one of the presents at the wedding. It is a very special cake and much more than a cake. Some say that is the cake of the bride but it is the cake of everyone. Every slice, of that cake, is a sample of the couple’s love for all who went there and, thus, it, really, becomes everyone’s.
But there are other offers. Some in the form of thanks for coming kisses. Others in the form of a symbolic object that will remember, those who received, that was noticed his presence and it is a remembrance of that. It is true because it was in the presence of the wedding photographer that swears he saw it. No, because he photographed it and this will be proven with photos, as soon as he can remove them from his cameras and get them ready to deliver.
Look, with this, we do not want you to forget us, because, for us, your presence will never be. So, the wedding photographer, some sort of hidden, pursues the bride and the groom, who are no longer, as if he were a spy, and, after, delivers them the proof of their guilt, by affection to everyone who they invited to the wedding. Because of that, everything is an excuse to study new points of view that allow me to photograph those moments of affection, from the wedding couple to the guests. It is, also, a sign that the party is coming to an end and, some moments ahead, I will rest my cameras and lenses, snuggle them in their sleeping bag and go home. Satisfied.
