The photographer, trust, and the return for the baptism

ALWAYS TRUST by THE LISBON BAPTISM PHOTOGRAPHER

It is impossible to tell you the satisfaction of the wedding and baptism photographer with these photos. The parents of the little one, Sónia, and Diogo, came to me a few years ago to photograph their wedding.

Strong reason dictated the postponement and small details in the way I run my business, do not charge before the wedding day, because it is when I really deserve it and the first part of the job is done. It seems not important but I like to base my work on trust and believe that, even if for some reason I will have a blank day, there is always a strong reason for the client not to fulfill the agreement.

Trust is one very important thing to me and always brings me positive results. When it was possible for them, there I was writing the story of their wedding day.

That’s how they chose me to photograph the baptism of their first child, Miguel,  and, now, Matias. I will never forget this word: trust. It has been with her that I have built my relationship with my clients and, I must say, in fifteen years of photographing weddings and baptisms never once I was disappointed with my decision or with my clients.

That is why I receive new clients, coming from the old ones and, with great joy, sometimes, I will go to photograph the baptism of someone that came to the world after the wedding, imagine.

So, I spent my day with this family and everybody they chose to live that day with them and, in the end, I delivered the story to be told, after, when Matias, as a man, one day found them, these photos, and the others I did in his baptism day.

In addition to these, he will find some with the pacifier in the mouth near the baptismal font, on the lap of all those who wanted him, there were a lot, on that day and he will remember those important to him but who, at the time, still did not know that.

That is my great interest, and commitment, to being able to tell these stories. It is just that I am sure that they, the stories, will be important, one day, and I must, in my baptism photographer role, do everything I know and can to make sure they are well-told because, for certain, they will be read many times.

Already dressed for the baptism ceremony, the boy laughs happily sitting on the floor.
Standing by the bed where he leaned, the child with a comb in his hand showing that he is combing his hair before leaving for the christening ceremony.
