LOVE, SONGS, AND PHOTOGRAPHS by THE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER.

Love is what it is and it is impossible that anything else could be. It is impossible to survey all the love songs that exist pressed on records or, nowadays, in the streaming databases that we can listen to with the tip of a click wherever we want, as long as the music can play. But the wedding photographer is not a musician, he is unable, to his great regret, to distinguish between a C and a D key, he would be unable to write syllables in verses so that they can leave at the right time and dance with all the melodies but, I assure you, he has heard many, he has many tightened on the shelves where his records with them rest from so much is the use he gives them but, in fact, there is no way he can celebrate love on the tip of the words with syllables arranged for the right time, that can inspire melodies forever.

But, the wedding photographer spends much of his time in the midst of it, of love, when he goes out with his cameras and lenses and finds it everywhere on a full day. He is in the shine of the eyes of those who look at them, he is in the smiles that are offered non-stop to all, and amongst all those who are there to celebrate, of course, love, he finds them in words that he catches here and there but that he cannot bring with him because they, the words, have the habit of not wanting to stay in the photographs, I don’t know why, perhaps it is some old quarrel, it is in the flowers that delight eyes and smells, anyway, let us stop here because the text is limited to a certain number of words. If more love songs were written, that use words, that are more than stars in the sky, there would be no place for so many.

Now, not having the sense of poetry, much less the one that knows how to date music to make us dance with it, the wedding photographer found a way to bring all that love he finds whenever he goes to those places full of it. Not being able to take guitars or pianos that would be useless to him, he discovered his cameras that, with their lenses, are capable of the most beautiful melodies. Sometimes they are capable of a symphony, but he discovered that their specialty is ballads. Some are sweet and soft and capable of making the most beautiful dreams come true, others are cheerful and frantic and don’t rest until they show themselves to tell what was and how it was, and still others that only a few understand because they are very special and only those who have the key to the code know what they say and these will remain forever, like those melodies. Well, you’ve already understood who the wedding photographer is talking about, of course, the photographs, also capable, just like those songs, of being full of love. I know what I’m talking about.
