THE PARTY BY THE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Party. Part or chapter of a wedding day as the photographer, of weddings, divides them up to facilitate the organization of his work after the day of adventures among bride and groom and all those they deemed necessary to spend that day with them. But, as many of his photos can prove, in fact, the party is not really a chapter in the book that he will make with photographs for the bride and groom to keep and show how it was, but a constant that would always give the book its title. But as we humans are given to organizing everything so as not to get lost in the concepts, the contents, and the forms, let’s take for what matters here that the wedding party is the…party.

The party starts after that formal part, which binds and turns bride and groom into signed-paper couples, where parents enter and relatives leave, where accompanying friends leave as groomsmen, and where each member of the new couple leaves an ounce heavier. The rings, of course. Let’s give this part as the least festive part of the day, more celebrative, because I found many before, with those who prepare them for the really festive part, sometimes better than a real party at the already party time. So, to be clear, the wedding party starts when you start…partying and as each group finds their reasons where they find them, that’s where it will be and the wedding photographer will have to be prepared to bring it with him and demonstrate that it was true, that’s where it started.

There is a song out there, or a saying, that partying is when a man, or woman, wants to find a reason to party, of course. For that reason, the wedding photographer can never be bored because nobody laughs, sings, dances, or hugs, and I still don’t understand why I’m here, why they bothered to hire me if they don’t do anything for it. Yeah, luckily it’s not like that and the party, of course, is always there even when it’s time for another wedding day party. Once there, depending on the imagination and delivery of the group chosen by the bride and groom of that day, it’s never the same, thankfully, the wedding photographer only has to turn, squirm, jump, or crouch to catch the parties of the party who until the party comes to an end engaging him without neglect. Well until the party comes to an end…today’s party, of course.
