A Feast for the Eyes

Quinta das Riscas is a true oasis on the edge of Portugal’s Alentejo region, near Montijo, and it was the venue chosen by Cátia and Luís for their wedding day.

The drive towards Pegões is already part of the experience. As the road unfolds beneath the shade of ancient holm oaks, the landscape gradually reveals the unmistakable character of the Alentejo.

Then, almost unexpectedly, Quinta das Riscas appears, surrounded by vineyards still dressed in green but already touched by the warm copper tones of autumn.

My first thought was immediate: I have to bring the couple back here before sunset.

And that’s exactly what we did.

The golden evening light delivered everything I had hoped for. My job was simply to make the most of it.

A Wonderful Wedding Day Captured in Photographs

The day began beneath a clear autumn sky with pleasant temperatures, creating the perfect setting for an outdoor ceremony.

In front of the venue’s magnificent palm trees, Cátia and Luís exchanged vows in beautiful natural light, creating the kind of atmosphere everywedding photographer hopes to capture.

It was, once again, a privilege to be there.

The photographs came naturally, like the smiles of the guests and the genuine happiness shared by the couple throughout the day.
