Returning to Quinta das Riscas as the wedding photographer to photograph a new wedding is always a great pleasure. Firstly, because it’s a space that calls out for photography, it invites warm interaction between guests, who always feel embraced by the serenity of the setting. Secondly, because I’m always warmly welcomed by the owners and the staff, who always ensure, with great professionalism, the smooth running of the venue.

Having accompanied Sofia and Ricardo during the preparation and ceremony, it was only fitting that I felt this location to be a perfect closing chapter. At this venue, I’ve taken some of the best wedding photographs of my career. The garden, which I’ve seen grow and flourish over time, has become the perfect setting for photo sessions, especially with the magnificent late-day light that floods in—right before the explosive party that, in this case, truly was.
