During Wedding Season

Wedding photographers are not experiencing the best days of their profession due to this pandemic, but just as they dedicate themselves to photographing, I am sure they are preparing to come back stronger. When, one day, this post is published on my blog, I hope that the difficult and turbulent days we are living through as I write this, in January 2021, due to that tiny little creature, will have already passed.
It is common for a wedding photographer to use in their articles the photographs they managed to capture from weddings in the previous year. This is because I prefer to write my articles while waiting for the wedding season to start again, which, as we know, is seasonal, rather than delaying them due to a lack of time during the wedding season.
Revisiting Photographs from Previous Weddings

So now, for this year’s articles, I will take the opportunity to revisit wedding photographs from past years that could have remained undisturbed in the wedding photographer’s archives. However, it is a good way to review what I have already done and, who knows, they may even inspire new ideas for when the activity resumes.
This happened with these photographs from a slightly different wedding day. I remember so well when the bride, the German Helena, instead of having a car waiting for her at her doorstep, headed to the metro station to start her journey to the place where both the ceremony and the celebration took place.
That Light Rainy Day Filled with Wedding Photos

As one might expect, this decision was a gift for the wedding photographer, who took full advantage of the day. Even today, from time to time, that rainy day with soft drizzle comes to mind—a drizzle that gave a special texture to the photographs and also required some changes to the original plans. But everything went well, don’t worry.

Point by Point:
- The days of COVID-19 are here, preventing us from working, and the wedding photographer hopes that, by the time this article is published, everything will have passed. That is why I am writing now—so I don’t lack time when everything starts again.
- That’s why I am revisiting wedding photographs taken some time ago and selecting a few, including those from this wedding, which I remember very well—a day of soft drizzle, but full of them: the photographs.
- That light yet persistent rain ended up giving a special texture to the wedding day, requiring some adjustments that ultimately worked in favor of the photographer and the photos.
You Need to Know:
- Rarely do changes forced upon a wedding day, or parts of it, negatively impact the flow of events or the photographs. The wedding photographer handles such situations well. So, if something like this happens at your wedding, don’t worry. Come talk to me in a meeting. Please, contact me.
NOTE:
- No, things have not changed much since January when this article was written. At least now, there is hope that things will improve. A great word, hope.
