The Entire Wedding Day

Wedding photographers are given amazing opportunities to collect images within their cameras throughout the entire wedding day.

Whether during a speech by an inspired or cheerful speaker, or during a part of the day that has become quite common — when a short film about the bride and groom is projected — there are always moments of great excitement, some amazement at memories from a long-past childhood, or even slightly embarrassing adventures from a carefree adolescence.

Of course, this is a gift for the wedding photographer — one that they never let go of under any circumstance. It’s a special magnet that keeps pulling their index finger to the shutter button of the camera. It creates a kind of restless energy in the search for angles that better frame those faces reacting with joy and surprise to what’s being shown on the screen in front of them.

But since the party goes on, those moments of excitement are not the only ones the wedding photographer focuses on. There are always those end-of-party happenings that keep my cameras busy — even though it’s already getting to that hour when the couple, the guests, and yes, the photographer, should be looking for a well-deserved rest because the day has been long, full, and exciting.

Point by point:

  • The number of photographic moments available to a wedding photographer during the wedding day is immense:
    ◦ During a speech from someone inspired in the moment
    ◦ When a video about the couple is projected
    ◦ At the start of the dance floor, during the couple’s first dance
    ◦ During the cutting of the wedding cake
  • None of these events can be missed, given the wealth of photographs they can offer.
  • Beyond what’s more or less planned, it’s important to include spontaneous ideas and improvisations by the wedding guests. All of this is the main reason I want to be there — to photograph.

You need to know:

  • For the couple who plan their wedding day, everything is laid out for each moment they decide on. Each part of the day will deliver its matching photographs, and by the end of it, everything is complete. But what I enjoy most are those unplanned moments that fill the gaps — like yeast that makes the cake rise and gives more flavor to the story of the day.

I’ll always be attentive to those unplanned moments at your wedding. When everything is ready, those moments will create the most interesting connections in the telling of your story. Come and meet with me so I can show you and we can talk about your wedding day — I want to hear all about it.
