The Wedding Was a Celebration
Summer had only just arrived when I met Teresa and Richard at Morada do Sol, in Malveira, on one of the slopes of the always beautiful Serra de Sintra, to photograph their wedding day. When I arrived, I was even more pleased to learn that this wedding was more of a celebration than the beginning of a life together, as is usually the case in the weddings I photograph.
In this case, however, there was already a shared life, a family, and years of knowing what they meant to each other. On the other hand, those present were close family and friends, which makes the atmosphere more intimate and more welcoming for the wedding photographer in what he enjoys doing most: photographing people and the bonds that connect them.
