On a foggy morning, the wedding photographer arrived

It was a foggy morning when I arrived in Nazaré to photograph Jade and Neil’s wedding. For me, it was not a problem at all, as I enjoy soft light that doesn’t make people squint or wrinkle their faces. That alone was a great start to the day. After waiting for the groom and his mates, who made the most of the morning, even under the fog, for a quick trip to the beach, I began my journey through the wedding day of this English couple.

From the ceremony to the wedding party

However, my delight with the weather faded when it was time to head up to the square on the hilltop — the very one where the legendary D. Fuas narrowly escaped danger — and the sun came out. It made my dear English clients happy, but left their eyes a little hidden. You can’t please everyone. Nevertheless, my work was done with the passion I always bring, and once the ceremony was over, we moved on to the party — as if it were a popular festival — in the small square of the neighbourhood where the bride’s parents live, a place calling for photographs at every turn I dared to look

It was good, and even different. The family prepared and hosted the party in a place that truly belonged to them. The wedding photographer left with the mission accomplished and with the certainty that this day would not be forgotten.

In a setting wrapped in fog, the wedding photographer arrived in Nazaré to capture the special day of Jade and Neil.
