The journey. This is also what being a wedding photographer entitles you to. And for me, it’s a right I embrace with full pleasure, driven by my traveller’s spirit since I first had the opportunity to enjoy it — the joy of travelling.

Leaving home very early, sometimes before the sun rises over the Tagus Bridge, always hoping to see the sun aligned with the bridge itself — a wish never fulfilled, but still alive in the heart of someone who hopes for unlikely things — and gliding down the tarmac, because the Algarve, to me, is down there, always the same and always different.

I won’t forget the trip to Albufeira, much less the route to the Ermida de S. Lourenço do Palmeiral, with a ceremony that included fleeting rings until they found their way back to happy fingers. Then came the beach, next to Club Nau in Ferragudo, where a late afternoon light, stamped by the Mediterranean, gave us that beautiful light a wedding photographer loves to enjoy — until the very end. Truly.
