A Day Friendly to the Wedding Photographer’s Lens

Some time has passed, but it’s now the right moment to share here on the blog some of the wedding photographs of Francisca and André at the beautiful Quinta do Vale in Santo Antão do Tojal, near Lisbon.

I had already mentioned that they came from Singapore, where they are studying, and that our contact was entirely at a distance, which didn’t stop us from getting along wonderfully throughout the day. Both are people with easy laughter, which made the entire day, among family and guests, very friendly to my lenses.

Whenever we head out in the morning to photograph a wedding — at least for me — there is always that worry about meeting the expectations we set for the couple who hired us, when they visited our website, saw our work from other weddings, and trusted in our conversation, whether in my studio or online from the other side of the world.

The Result of the Work, in Photographs, as a Guarantee of Trust

Covering a wedding day involves dealing with the unpredictable, something I’ve written about before, while also following a path we know will ensure that, by the end of the day, the result of my work confirms the trust the couple placed in me.

Though I’m a perfectionist, I know I achieved that for Francisca and André, and that gave me the drive to keep going with my work as a wedding photographer. Thank you for that.

On a day full of light and emotion, I had the privilege of photographing the wedding of Francisca and André at the charming Quinta do Vale in Santo Antão do Tojal, Loures. Coming from Singapore, where they study, the couple entrusted me from afar — and that trust translated into a memorable day, full of smiles and authentic moments.

The Preparation: Expectations and Emotions

In a mirror at the hairdresser's, the bride laughs as they comb her hair.
  • Planning was done remotely with the couple living in Singapore
  • Clear communication that built mutual trust
  • Expectation to capture every detail of the wedding day
  • Commitment from the wedding photographer to exceed expectations

From our first contact, even from a distance, there was immediate rapport. Francisca and André showed contagious joy, making the entire planning process smooth and ensuring that the wedding day would be captured with authenticity.

Quinta do Vale: A Dream Setting

Between her and the hairdresser blurred, the bride sees herself in a round mirror that she holds in her hand.
  • Privileged location just 14 minutes from Lisbon
  • Space with capacity for up to 250 wedding guests
  • Expansive gardens and pool, perfect for outdoor ceremonies
  • Architecture combining traditional and contemporary elements

Quinta do Vale is a venue that captivates at first glance. Its well-kept gardens and harmonious architecture create the perfect setting to celebrate love. The venue’s team is dedicated and attentive to every detail, ensuring the wedding day is unforgettable.

The Ceremony: Emotion and Joy

  • Ceremony held in the gardens of Quinta do Vale
  • Active participation from the wedding guests makes the moment even more special
  • Wedding photographs that capture the essence of the couple’s love
  • Relaxed and emotionally rich atmosphere

The ceremony took place in a serene environment, where every glance and smile told a story. The involvement of the wedding guests added an extra layer of emotion, turning every wedding photograph into a living testament of that unique moment.

The Party: Celebration and Fun

  • Lively reception with music and dancing
  • Personalised decor reflecting the couple’s personality
  • Wedding photographs capturing spontaneous and joyful moments
  • Warm and engaging environment that encouraged interaction among everyone present

The party was a true celebration of love. The infectious energy of the couple and their wedding guests created a vibrant atmosphere where every moment was intensely lived and captured in wedding photographs full of life and emotion.

Conclusion: An Unforgettable Day
