Affection, in Wedding Photographs

Among the objects of the hairdresser blurred, the bride in the mirror being combed and smiling.

If I had to choose one word to describe this day, it would be, without a doubt, affection. In the plural.
Rewriting in words what is in the photographs is not only redundant, it is also limited for those who master them also in a limited way.
The journey began early, and the path was followed even after my GPS tried to send me to another village, perhaps with a street of the same name but omitted from its database — to Ourém.

Photographs Offered Until the End of the Day

The bride smiles as the hairdresser's hands transform her hair.

At Daniel’s house, a lover of the scent of the earth and what it generously offers him, I had the pleasure of a glass of homemade wine and the comfort of a family meal, followed by his rush as time flew, and the bride, Alexandra, was waiting for me in Fátima.
There’s no need for much literature because time was filled with chasing the photographs that were being offered to me at every moment until the end of the day.
If I may be allowed a second word, I choose family. Look at the photographs and you will understand why. And it was in this family atmosphere that I remained until the end of the party for one more day fulfilled.
To her, to the whole family, I thank you for the privilege and pleasure of the wedding photographer being there.

Quinta Dom Nuno: Setting the Scene for a Dream Wedding

Quinta Dom Nuno, located just 6 km from Fátima and overlooking the stunning Serra d’Aire e Candeeiros, is one of the most sought-after venues for wedding celebrations in Portugal.
With more than 38 years of experience, it offers three independent spaces — Beato Nuno, Serra d’Aire, and Rochedo — each with its entrance, romantic gardens, waterfalls, pools, and lounge areas, providing an exclusive and personalised environment for each event.

Day Preparations: From Earth to Altar

The groom, in a mirror, begins to dress for the wedding holding his shirt.

The day began with a visit to Daniel’s house, the groom, in Ourém. There, I was welcomed with a glass of homemade wine and a warm family atmosphere. The connection to the land and to family was clear, creating a perfect scene to capture authentic and emotional moments.
Next, I headed to Quinta Dom Nuno to follow the preparations of the bride, Alexandra. The serenity of the location, combined with the emotion of the moment, offered unique opportunities to capture meaningful details, such as the wedding rings carefully placed on a silk rose, symbolising the beginning of a new life together.

• Family-oriented and welcoming atmosphere from the start
• Significant details captured, such as the wedding rings
• Smooth transition between the groom’s and bride’s moments

Ceremony at Quinta Dom Nuno: A Dream Setting

The ceremony took place inside Quinta Dom Nuno, surrounded by lush vegetation, water features, and a panoramic view of the mountains. The venue offers various environments for civil ceremonies, adapting to each couple’s preferences.
The decoration was carefully planned, with elements that reflected the couple’s personalities. The team from the quinta, led by Tatiana Reis, demonstrated exemplary professionalism, ensuring every detail was perfect.

• Romantic gardens and stunning views of the mountains
• Versatile spaces for civil ceremonies
• Personalised decoration and attention to detail

Celebration and Party: A Banquet of Emotions

After the ceremony, guests were welcomed with an outdoor cocktail, followed by a banquet served in the quinta’s elegant rooms. The menu, created by Chef Vítor Sobral, combined traditional Portuguese flavours with contemporary touches, pleasing all palates.
Entertainment was handled by live musicians and a DJ, ensuring a festive and engaging atmosphere. The dance floor remained full until late, showing the joy and excitement of the couple and their guests.

• Outdoor cocktail and banquet with a personalised menu
• Varied musical entertainment, including live music and a DJ
• Festive atmosphere and active participation from guests

The collaboration with the venue team was fundamental to ensure all moments were captured discreetly and efficiently, allowing the couple to fully enjoy their day.

• Natural and architectural settings are ideal for photography
• Capture of spontaneous and emotional moments
