Beautiful and Happy Newlyweds on Their Wedding Day

During dressing for the wedding, the groom looks to the side.

The wedding took place in a church for which I have a special affection. First, because of the location: the heights of São Pedro de Sintra. A triumphant entrance for those heading to Vila de Sintra from the roundabout, climbing the tree-lined avenue—it’s immediately on the right, hidden, shy, but welcoming once inside. It’s the Church of São Pedro de Penaferrim. It has always provided me with stunning photos. Ana and Carlos chose it to say their vows. And it was beautiful to witness. They looked radiant and happy.

The Wedding Photographer Made the Most of Everything

Ana was glowing in her wedding dress from Gri-Gri Noivas and stunning in her makeup by Make-Up 2U. The makeup made my job easier by presenting me with a bride already perfect for photography. I highly recommend her. Susana Leal is a delight of a person and a brilliant professional.

From there, we crossed Sintra and descended to the very well-located former Quinta dos Alfinetes, which has since closed. It had a great atmosphere for socializing and was an excellent setting for photos, with the entire slope of the Serra and a view to the Palácio da Pena. The couple enjoyed every moment with joy, and I, as the wedding photographer, took advantage down to the last drop.

The Wedding of Ana and Carlos

Ana and Carlos’s wedding was a memorable event, filled with emotion, beauty, and unforgettable moments. As a wedding photographer, I had the privilege of capturing each instant of this unique day, from the ceremony in the historic Church of São Pedro de Penaferrim to the joyful celebration with friends and family.

The Ceremony at the Church of São Pedro de Penaferrim

The bride's dress hung on the bed's canopy, along with a basket of gifts and shoes.

Located at the top of São Pedro de Sintra, the Church of São Pedro de Penaferrim is a true historical gem. Dating back to the 14th century, the church underwent a deep renovation in 1565, sponsored by D. Álvaro de Castro. Its Manueline-style vault and magnificent blue and white 18th-century tiles, depicting scenes from the life of Saint Peter, are stand-out features.

Ana and Carlos chose this emblematic place to seal their love. The bride’s entrance, radiant in her Gri-Gri Noivas dress, was a moment of pure emotion. The makeup by the talented Susana Leal from Make-Up 2U further enhanced Ana’s natural beauty, making my job as a wedding photographer much easier.
